As our young sailors start summer courses in the Yachtbclubs and sail training schools across the country we looked to Finn Lynch for some advice from his training camp in Japan. TackTick in a compass!.

After the Rio Olympics the International Laser class association changed it's class rules to allow digital compasses. The rules is that 'Electronic, self-contained, digitalcompasses using only magnetic input are permitted.' In conversation with Finn Lynch before he headed off to Porto at the weekend he confirmed that he now uses the Raymarine TackTick micro compass.  'I find this to be a game changer for overall performance in laser racing. ISORA Viking Marine Coastal Series Race 1 cancelled

ISORA Race 1 CANCELLEDDue to the uncertainty in the track of Storm Hannah Race 1 tomorrow is cancelled. All entry fees can be credited towards future races. Apologies for the late notice but every aspect was examined by the Sailing Committee before reaching this difficult decision. With this cancellation the Viking Marine Coastal series will now be the best 3 races from 4.
