Function
Traditional flares will illuminate for around 60 seconds before extinguishing, the Odeo Distress illuminates for around 8 hours at full illumination. Because no pyrotechnics are used, the Odeo product range is totally safe when switched off, and because it uses battery power (high power Lithium or Alkaline cells), it can even be safely posted or carried in baggage on flights.
Typical Use
Whilst originally designed for marine use, its lightweight, safe performance means that it is incredibly useful for any outdoor activity. The smaller size makes the ODEO Distress ideal for mountaineering, skiing, kayaking, expeditions etc. – any activity that can benefit from the added safety and security of carrying a distress flare – without the unwanted dangers. The ODEO Distress small size and waterproof rating IP68 (50m) also makes it an ideal safety device for divers.
Power Supply
The Odeo Distress uses either 4 x L91 Lithium batteries or 4 x Alkaline batteries. These batteries have the required shelf life and power capacity and will operate over an extended temperature range.
Regulations
The Odeo Distress is designed with consideration to SOLAS requirements, making it a genuine alternative to the pyrotechnic red hand held flare. The US Coast Guard is now leading the world in developing standards for electronic Visual Distress Signal Devices (eVDSD’s) as a replacement for the hand held pyrotechnic flare. The Odeo Flare™ also outputs an SOS signal during its flash pattern as described in Annex 4 to COLREGS, and is thus an internationally recognised distress signal.

Regular price €140.00The NEW OdeSea TX-65 aluminum outboard motor trolley was introduced in 2021 on the METS Trade in Amsterdam. Traditional outboard motor trolleys are to large, heavy and difficult to use. They are almost impossible to carry around in the truck of a car or stow away on a boat.
The TX-65 is universal adjustable to perfectly fit any outboard engine up to 60 kg. The light weight and compact design make sure that the TX-65 can be put almost anywhere with ease. Furthermore the TX-65 can be used for safely storing and servicing outboards.
The solid square tube design and fastening mechanism gives the TX-65 the strength and stability to handle any outboard motor up to 60 kg safely and virtually without effort. The V-shaped tail piece will secure and protect the skeg.

What size Topper Mainsail?
Age 10-16 will usually use the Topper Race Mainsail 5.3m² Sail
Weight Guideline: 47 – 63kg, but there are many sailors either side of this guideline enjoying sailing their Topper and competing at a high standard.
The smaller 4.2m sail is suitable for younger and lighter sailors from 35kg.
The Topper 4.2 Sail has a sleeve which covers the top portion of the mast. This means that there is no need to change mast or other fittings if you want to change between a full sail (5.3m) and a 4.2m Sail

Optimist Buoyancy Bag Iod’95 48 L, With Tube - various colours

Regular price €44.95These buoyancy bags from Optiparts are made of polyurethane coated nylon and are about half the weight and significantly stronger than bags made of PVC or PVC coated nylon. Some Optimist buoyancy bags are available with a twist lock tube valve. This valve is attached to a piece of tubing. With this valve the bag can easily and quickly be inflated and deflated. 48 liter buoyancy bags are slightly heavier than 43 liter buoyancy bags but after a capsize there is a lot less water in the boat.
Twist lock tube valve. Color red, size inflated 29 cm x 92 cm, content: 48 liter. Size deflated 44 cm x 98 cm, radius 5 cm.
Please note, not to over inflate the Optimist buoyancy bags. When bags are properly filled, they will be soft to the touch. Over inflated buoyancy bags may burst when heated up by the sun or rising temperatures. Make sure there are no sharp points in your boat that would snag or puncture the buoyancy bags.
