RONSTAN SHEAVELESS BLOCKS
Some small line rigging applications do not require ball bearing blocks, so Ronstan has introduced its Shocks™ Sheaveless compact blocks. Designed to fit a wide array of small diameter rigging uses, the new Shocks™ are claimed to be perfect for moderate load uses where minimal purchase is required.
The compact Shocks™ are carefully engineered to work well even if the load alignment is not straight. Made from anodized aluminium they weigh only 2.5g (0.01 oz.), yet can carry up to 350kg of break-load force. The Shocks™ soft attachment compatibility make them suitable for use in numerous high performance dinghy and small sailboat rigging applications including tweakers, vangs, trapezes, cunninghams, barber haulers and kite bridles. They are also handy on larger boats for uses such as ladder and motor hoists, lazy jacks, sail covers, and tie-downs.
Shocks come in two sizes and accepts 1.4mm to 10mm (1/16" - 3/8") line diameters for running rigging and can be used with up to 10mm (3/8") webbing attachments. They are available in three colour choices to help keep complicated rigging configurations more organised.

Harken soft-attach Fly blocks are designed to provide strength without mass, providing sailors with big power in a low-aero package. Designed specifically for high-tech line, these efficient blocks have an incredible working load for their small size. Fly blocks are perfect for use on foiling dinghies and sportboats and for vang cascades and backstay systems on Grand-Prix racers. 18 mm blocks feature an integrated stainless steel inner race and rivet, stainless steel ball bearings, and composite fiber-reinforced sideplates. Use the 2161 “tight cinching” 18 mm in applications where the block needs to be secured extremely close to the deck. A length of Spectra® line with a polyester cover is included. Spectra is a registered trademark of Honeywell International, Inc.

Inspection covers allow access to remote areas in water tight bulkheads, buoyancy tanks, water tanks etc.
The fully threaded lid with the multi point threaded ring ensures the ability to unscrew in any weather condition. Together with the ‘O’ ring seal for total water tightness.

T2 doubles feature composite line guides that are integrated into the block head. They prevent the block from capsizing by pushing the lashing line to the outer edges of the sideplates. The 29, 40, and 57 mm blocks feature composite sheaves that spin freely on Delrin® ball bearings with curved bearing races. They have no metal shackles or rivets, making them the lightest soft-attach blocks Harken has ever designed. All T2 blocks route the attachment line through the block head and sheave, decreasing the loads on the sideplates and acting as a safety backup for the system. Regular price €53.95This part should be replaced immediately if it should get broken as it acts like a bumper to protect the hull if the boat is grounded with the daggerboard down. If it is not replaced then the next time the boat is grounded the hull could be damaged. It is very easy to replace and only needs mastic placing in screw holes and around the hull plate indent and a new one screwing in place. Wipe of excess mastic with white spirit.
