Regular price €78.95The “Antipodean” outhaul system has the advantage of increasing the mechanical advantage of the ILCA outhaul system to 8:1 from the more usual 6:1 without using any more blocks or increasing the friction in the system. It does however result in slightly more “tail end” in the boat.
The system employs:
2 x Ronstan 30mm “Orbit” blocks on the boom.
1 x 3mm Dynema D12 “Primary” line.
1 x 4mm Dynema/polyester “Secondary” line.
1 x Ronstan 30mm “Orbit” block (with shackle or strop) at the gooseneck.
1 x Ronstan 30mm “Orbit” block (with shackle) at the deck block plate
In addition the clew arrangement of your choice which may be a hook & block.

Harken HSB464 29mm Carbo Block - Removable Bolt
HSB464
Regular price €35.95Strong, low-friction, and lightweight Carbo Air block with removable bolt allowing for connection to various locations. This small, compact block has a very high working load for safe and easy trimming and can be attached to a mast collar or clew ring to provide an upgraded pulley system. This is a replaceable version of Harken product 348 or 371.
Please do be careful when you remove the bolt and make sure you keep both of the block sides together to ensure the ball bearings don't come out.
This pulley block most popular with ILCA/Laser sailors and can be used to attach to the downhaul and outhaul deck plate at the bottom of the mast to provide an upgraded pulley system.

ILCA Laser XD Harken Elite Power Pack
ILCA POWER PACK
Regular price €324.95The ILCA Power Pack by Harken – Fully ILCA class legal.
The ILCA is a difficult & demanding boat to sail well so you want everything set up well & working well for you.
Harken have been producing this ILCA Power Pack kit for many years & fundamentally it has not changed however it has been steadily refined.
This kit is supplied as Elite equipment with new boats but can be retrofittable to older hulls and uses the existing screw holes. The kit contains screws & instructions.
The cleats work really well (as you would expect being Harken) cleating & un-cleating relatively easily even when under extreme load. The test of an outhaul system is whether one can put it on easily when approaching the leeward mark in wind & waves & the test of the Cunningham is whether one can readily un-cleat it when approaching the windward mark.
The outhaul part of the kit provides for a 6:1 purchase which is sufficient for the majority of ILCA sailors. Should you require an 8:1 purchase please contact us.
The Cunningham part of the kit also provides for a 6:1 purchase which is sufficient for the majority of ILCA 6 and ILCA 4 Sailors & those using a Standard Mk 1 sail. However, the majority of ILCA sailors using the ILCA 7 sail will find they are better off with the maximum allowed 8:1 purchase. Please contact us for advice on how to upgrade.
It is unlikely you will be disappointed with this Harken outhaul & Cunningham arrangement or that it will let you down.
